We scheduled Emma's Senior Portrait Session for July 12th, and the day started off cloudy with intermittent rain. We've learned to adapt to less than ideal situations, but downpours aren't in anyone's interest when it comes to comfort. Thankfully, the weather held off enough that we were able to proceed. Honestly, the conditions couldn't have been better for creating great portraits.
We met in the granite quarries of Barre, VT. There are numerous locations that offer interesting backdrops and lighting conditions, and we took full advantage of the soft lighting the day had to offer. Emma adapted to the camera quickly, and we had an exciting session with a lot of images to pull from. Here's a few portraits we created from our time in the quarries.
We also asked if Emma and her mother would like to help us grow our portfolio and we invited them to get some additional images in a different setting. They accepted and we moved our session down into the heart of Barre for some images featuring the warmer tones of city life. Here's a few images from that portion of our shoot.
Overall, it was a great session, and we can't wait to do more for our upcoming graduates.
